Fourth of July Firework Events Return as West Coast State Reopens

In fact, our West Coast state officially reopened on June 15th. Moreover, this means the Fourth of July weekend is the first major holiday people can gather and celebrate in big groups since the Corona Virus pandemic began in March 2020.

A few venues and cities across the state are planning in-person events as well as virtual Fourth of July happenings for those who wish to celebrate with caution. In fact, here are some events around Southern California that are taking place very soon.

The City of Arcadia’s Patriotic Reverse Parade & Food Drive

  • Event: The City of Arcadia’s Patriotic Reverse Parade & Food Drive Arcadia’s Patriotic Reverse Parade & Food Drive allows participants to drive through downtown Arcadia starting at 1st Avenue and ending at the Foothill Unity Center, where attendees can donate food for Arcadia residents in need. Along the parade route will be first responders decked out in Fourth of July gear and Perdy, the downtown Arcadia peacock.

Boat Cinema

  • Event: Boat Cinema – Boat Cinema will offer a “Jaws” screening all weekend from the comfort of your own boat.
  • Date: July 2, 3 and 4
  • Time: 6 p.m. check-in, 8 p.m. movie
  • Location: 32132 Castaic Lake Drive, Castaic, California 91384
  • Cost: In fact, Tickets that include a boat rental are sold out. However, guests can review the film from their own vessel for $89.
  • Quagga Inspection and More: The privately owned boats must undergo a quagga inspection. Then they will receive a quagga tag before entering the lake.

Dignity Sports Park Fourth of July Fireworks Show and LA Galaxy vs. Sporting Kansas City

  • Event: Officially back on is the park’s annual Fourth of July firework show. However, It took a break after last year. When the soccer match ends between LA Galaxy and Sporting Kansas City, then guests can partake and enjoy what is being called the “longest-running fireworks show in an active sports season.
  • Location: 18400 Avalon Blvd., Carson, California, 90746
  • Date: July 4th
  • Time: 7:30 p.m.

  • Conditions: The park allows full capacity crowds for the events, however, the mask-wearing is still recommending for anyone that is unvaccinated.
